MR. S.M. RAJU
The Inventor
Mr. S.M.Raju is an Indian Administrative Service Officer serving as a Principal Secretary to the Government of Bihar; he has served the country since 1991. Ever since the beginning of his career, he has been involved in implementing various innovative and revolutionary policies which have been accepted on a state and the national level by the Government of India.
During his tenure as the District Magistrate of Gaya district, Bihar, he worked on the redevelopment of the Mahabodhi temple (the temple where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment) and its precincts. This project was intentionally put on hold by his predecessors, who feared the collapse of the entire structure during the restoration process.
With the support of the Overseas Economic Co-Operative Fund, Bihar, he was able to move forward with the project. Through his efforts, the temple received the recognition by UNESCO as a world heritage monument. Today, the temple complex is well maintained and receives visitors from around the world.
Bihar is one of the most underdeveloped states in India, with about 50% of its population living below the poverty line. Mr. Raju formulated a policy which extensively involves underprivileged people – especially women, physically impaired and the old aged to participate in a social forestry scheme which ensures a sustainable income for a hundred days. The secondary objective of this is to increase the forest cover of the state. This initiative involved assigning 4 families for every 200 plants for five years; the objective of the caretakers would be to ensure the maximum survivability of these plants, based on which, they would be compensated for their efforts. This has completely removed the need to install a gabion around the plant for its protection. The saplings selected for this initiative were fruit bearing, which additionally benefitted the families. The inaugural act of this initiative was personally carried out under the supervision of Mr. Raju on the 20th of August 2009 in the Tirhut division where 9.64 million saplings were planted in just one day. This feat was nominated by the Guinness Book of World Records. Mr. Raju further went on to oversee the plantation of 1.2 million trees in Saran Division and 1.2 million plants in just one day on the 25th of March 2012 in Munger Division. Further, under his leadership, as the Secretary of Rural Development, his projects directly increased the forest cover of Bihar State from 6.87% to more than 10%. This project has been adopted as a national policy by the Government of India. The late Honourable President of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam has written a short piece on Mr. Raju’s achievements and contributions in his book – Target 3 Billion.
Mr. Raju has carried out extensive research on medicinal plants for more than 35 years; he has been able to formulate different variants of supplements which help in treating more than 170 different types. He initially developed these supplements from the knowledge he has gained during his time in college by studying medicinal plants and to treat himself as he suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis. HE has to intensify his research when his father was diagnosed with Acute Renal Failure and his son with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
His research focuses on cell therapy. Detoxification of the cells is done by inducing phytochemicals in the body through the supplements and lignans. Regulating the cellular metabolic activity and the cellular respiratory system is done through Phytochemicals, Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. Further, the beneficial microbes in the body is rejuvenated by inducing well balanced amounts of Prebiotics and Probiotics ( a follow up on the research conducted by Nobel laureate Dr. Elie Metchnikoff) which, enriches and promotes stable micro-flora in the gut, thus ensuring a consistent release of enzymes which helps in breaking down food efficiently. These principles help in giving a new life to people who are suffering from many incurable health disorders such as – Chronic Kidney Disease, Dilation Cardiomyopathy, Lower Ejection Fraction, Vessel Stenosis, and Multiple Artery Blockage with diabetic mellitus where a bypass cannot be performed. Also, disorders such as Cervical Spondylitis, Osteoporosis where no permanent solution for long term relief exists. As of now, conventional medicine has not yet found a way to completely rejuvenate a failing organ, for example, for people suffering from Chronic Kidney disease with the glamorous capillary failing, one has to go through dialysis for the rest of their life or else go with a kidney transplant. Similarly, if a person has diabetes mellitus and is taking insulin, that person would have to take insulin for the rest of their lives. With Mr. Rajus method of inducing phytochemicals and other supplements, people wouldn’t have to go through dialysis or consume insulin for the rest of their lives if they follow the set down protocols properly. Rajus research has been endorsed by the AYUSH ministry and the Honourable Union Minister of State for AYUSH, Shri. Sripadh Naik.
Mr. Raju has been awarded by several national and international organisations in Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore, Delhi and Mumbai.
I strongly urge everyone to plant at least one tree on their birth day every year, especially the medicinal valued fruit bearing trees like – Jamun, Arjuna, Amla and Neem. Along with this everyday one should also perform Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation.
